1.01 Carat Total Diamonds in G color and SI1-2 clarity
A rose cut diamond was made popular in the Georgian Era, the 1700s. This was a time before electricity so diamonds were cut to sparkle under the candle light and boy do they sparkle! At this time the theory of light was not understood. They thought they were releasing the light from the gems by faceting the top in triangle facets. Now we know that its the sunlight going into the stone and reflecting back out the top of stone is what creates the sparkle. When looking at this romantic cut you can see why they called them rose cuts with the petals being the facets on the diamonds.
Pendant is 21.5x17.1mm with an 18" baby rope chain with a lobster claw clasp.
